Position: Managing Director, Structured Trade
and Commodity Finance
Based: Beijing
Our client is an international major
bank and the main role of the incumbent is to
identify business opportunities for the bank and
its subsidiaries in China.
As a senior executive of the bank, he is to establish
and maintain excellent relationships with the
clients and target customers. While he will continue
to promote awareness of the bank, its network
and capabilities, he is constantly searching for
business opportunities, particularly focus on
providing trade financing solutions to companies
in China. The focus is on local companies who
have or intend to have investment in or trading
with businesses in Africa, South America and Southeast
Asia.
He is also required to provide leadership through
coaching and staff motivation in order to build
a team with a sense of good service culture for
both external relationships and internally to
other department or offices of the bank.
Core Competencies:
Knowledge
• To have a good knowledge of the commodity
markets.
• A strong foundation in understanding credit
risks and operational risks in trade finance.
• Ability to identify suitable clients with
structured trade finance needs.
• Ability to structure and price transactions
in different markets.
• Must have analytical capabilities to read
and interpret financial statements.
• Good command of English.
Interpersonal
• Ability to communicate with external customers
and internally with colleagues at all levels.
• Must be a team player and have respect
for fellow colleagues.
• Able to inspire confidence with customers
and colleagues.
